How to Play

Click a tile to select it, then click a matching tile to connect them.

Two tiles can be linked only if they can be joined by a line with at most two right-angle turns, without crossing other tiles.

Use the Hint button to reveal a valid pair, or Shuffle to rearrange the remaining tiles.

About Link Link (Lianliankan)

Link Link, also known as Lianliankan or Mahjong Connect, is a classic tile-matching puzzle game that originated in China. The objective is simple yet challenging: clear the entire board by connecting pairs of identical tiles. The twist is that the connecting path can only make up to two right-angle turns, and no other tiles can block the path.

This game tests your observation skills, spatial reasoning, and strategic thinking. As the board clears, tiles that were previously blocked become accessible, creating a satisfying chain of discoveries. Our online version runs entirely in your browser — no download, no registration, completely free.

Game Rules

  • Matching: Click two identical tiles to connect them. They must be the same type (same emoji).
  • Path Rules: The connecting line between two tiles can have at most two right-angle turns (i.e., at most two bends).
  • No Obstacles: The path must not cross any other tiles on the board.
  • Clear the Board: Remove all tiles before the timer runs out to win.
  • Hint: Stuck? Use the Hint button to highlight a valid pair. Limited hints available.
  • Shuffle: If no valid moves remain, use Shuffle to rearrange the board automatically.

Tips & Strategies

  • Start from the edges: Tiles on the outer border are easier to connect since paths can wrap around the outside.
  • Plan ahead: Before clicking a pair, check if removing them will unblock other tiles.
  • Save hints: Only use hints when truly stuck — they are limited.
  • Work in zones: Focus on clearing one section of the board at a time rather than jumping around.
  • Watch the timer: Keep an eye on the countdown and prioritize quick matches when time is low.
